David and his wife Angela moved to Diseworth in 2007 to be closer to his work. Having grown up in Nottingham he completed an apprenticeship at Herbert Morris and has then always worked in Loughborough until retiring in 2020. A great believer in the benefits of a strong community he likes to be involved with projects that provide a service or entertainment for others. During the time his two sons attended Robert Bakewell School, Dishley he was a parent governor and member of the community association. David is currently part of a hard-working committee who manage the Diseworth Village Hall as well as having been a councillor for Long Whatton and Diseworth since March 2010.
